As you may have read earlier, Martin and I went on a canoe trip during fall break. We went to the Boundary Waters in Ely, which is very near the Canadian border. We went there after class on Friday and got back late on Tuesday. We were eight people on the trip, and we had a good time :)
We went canoeing every day, then found a place to camp, ate dinner and went to bed. Canoeing in the Boundary Waters includes a lot of portageing, which means that we have to carry our gear and our canoes across land. This is because we were canoeing in many different lakes, and you sometimes have to walk a bit to get to the next lake.
